The brands we bring to Australia

  • Variant (Denmark). A Danish trailer maker based in Vejle, registered in 1975. We supply the Variant range in Australia, from box, car and tipper trailers to plant and fridge trailers.
  • Scanvogn (Denmark). Mobile offices, bathrooms, accommodation and site facilities. A2B Trailers holds the Australian licence for Scanvogn and is the approval holder on the Register of Approved Vehicles.
  • Vlemmix (Netherlands). Dutch-built trailers supplied in Australia by A2B Trailers.

How Australian trailer compliance has changed

  • Before 1 July 2021, imported road vehicles were approved under the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989.
  • From 1 July 2021, the Road Vehicle Standards Act 2018 applies. Approved vehicles are listed on the Register of Approved Vehicles (RAV), kept by the Australian Government. See the Department’s Road Vehicle Standards laws.
  • When the rules changed, our team was responsible for obtaining the new compliance for European trailer brands, including Gremac screeners.
  • Our imported trailers meet ECE standards and are approved under the Road Vehicle Standards Act for Australian roads.
